A reminder about sunscreen!

With skin cancer diagnoses so much on the rise, we all need to be vigilant about protecting ourselves and our loved ones from damaging rays.

Sunscreens remain our first layer of protection, rightfully so. But be sure to apply it frequently and generously. Buy a fresh bottle or tube every year....and pay attention to the expiration date. Sunscreen is not something that should be purchased in huge quantities when you see it on sale. It does lose its effectiveness.

Store it inside, out of the heat.....not in the beach bag that stays in the trunk or on the dashboard.

Avoid spray on sunscreen, especially for kids! The convenience isn't worth it.

I'm in my 'lecture mode' because I just found my husband's tube from two years ago.....in his tackle box, in the garage!

It's too late for us to prevent those sunburns we endured as children, some of are paying for that now.
