A visit to the Niagara Parks' Botanical Gardens

Some conifer highlights from a recent visit to the Botanical Gardens across the border from me in Canada. I was surprised at how many wonderful specimens they have, especially borderline cold hardy species they're able to grow there. Promising for a "zone pusher" like myself!

Cupressus nootkatensis

Taxodium distichum with witch's broom

Pinus aristata

Picea omorika 'pendula bruns'

Abies pinsapo 'glauca' - unfortunately not doing too well

Abies cephalonica

Abies nordmanniana

One of a couple Sequoiadendron giganteum - also not doing too well
