Bougie, There are plenty of places to get most of the ones you list above. Some you might find locally - check from spring until fall at local nurseries (especially the ones that carry begonias) and the big box stores - you never know if and when a shipment might come in with a few begonias. I've picked begonias up at Walmart, Home Depot, and Lowe's. My local Ace Hardware was one of the best places I ever picked up begonias but they went out of business twice now (different owners). I cited several mail order places in another thread on this forum. My recent purchases were from Accents for Home and Garden, Taylor Greenhouses, and Logees. Prices vary but if only one vendor carries the plant you want then you can either pass it by or pay up. Most plants will be on the small side when buying mail order so treat your new plants like babies when you get them until they get some size on them. Come to a convention if you can manage. It is an expensive way to get plants when you add in transportation, lodging, meals, registration but it can be fun and you will have a ton of begonias to choose from at very reasonable prices (cheap prices really). This year's convention is at the end of this month and is in West Palm Beach, FL. It sounds like there will be over 100 different varieties to choose from plus one trip is to Palm Hammock Orchid Estates which is a regular smorgasbord for begonias.

Thank you for your response!! I'm re-posting an email that sent I to your email just in case you didn't receive it. Yes, the one with the yellow blooms is not the cane variety but it is losing leaves as well. The one that dropped all the leaves this morning --more or less all of a sudden--was the spotted angel wing. I have three different begonias planted in a large container together all outside. I don't know what the third one is, but it's short and kind of clumped up, reddish leaves growing close to the soil surface--I think it's called a begonia :dewdrop." seems to be doing well. I probably put them all together in a too big pot I suppose and possibly overwatered after a recent short heat spell. Can you tell me why the container size matters? Is it because there is too much soil that stays moist for too long? Do you think I should repot the spotted angel wing in a smaller container with a faster draining soil? Maybe I can save it. It's probably not getting enough sun. I remember we had a discussion about this some time ago, and a real expert said he grew canes in full sun. But it's important to know that some bloom much more freely than others. I have some canes that I've never seen a bloom on (partly because I don't water enough I'm afraid!) and some that are never without blooms no matter how poorly I treat them. (I don't treat all of them badly all the time--I just have too many plants and not enough time and energy.) But even with the best care, some aren't big on blooming and some are. I think there is a tendency for the ones with the most beautiful foliage not to bloom as much as the ones with less dramatic leaves, but that's just an impression.
