My cat keeps peeing on my pillows :S
Comments (8)My cat was peeing on my bed too. Luckily it was made and didn't saturate the mattress. we just washed the covers. I took her to the vet, like everyone says you should, to make sure she was healthy and it wasn't a bladder problem. It was not, the vet said behavioral. So, What I did was confine her to a guest room that had no furniture in it. This guest room is very nice and sunny. I put her litter box and her food in there. I also made sure she had many toys and a cozy bed. Little by little, I let her come out of the room but she was always supervised. Also, I kept ALL the bedroom doors closed (because she had also pee'd on my son's bed). Anyway, eventually I felt she could come out and spend time in other parts of the house but always supervised (at first). She has been very good (keeping fingers crossed) and has not had anymore accidents. Also, I tried that cat calming spray called Feliway. I didn't like the odor of it and it seemed to make her awfully mellow so I discontinued using it. I also made sure she had a clean litter box. So far so good. I personally think that this is a very insecure cat, she was a stray, and she was marking our beds because she was insecure. She is feeling more comfortable now but I'm still keeping the bedroom doors shut because I don't want anymore accidents. Good luck! I think that it's a trial and error situation, you have to work and find out what works with your cat. Oh, also, I still use the guest room for her "bedroom" at night. I just feel better knowing that she's in "her: room and she seems to really like it in there anyway. During the day she has the run of the house but she likes her corner in the guest room and I find her in there sleeping....See MoreTib my pillow is here
Comments (9)I actually took that terry/wool cover off my Natura pillow last night, Holly, and I was a lot happier! must go back and forth ,because I remember when I put it on, I was a lot happier. Hmmmmâ¦.. Rough Linen will have to wait. I threw everything I had at the house, when I bought it, to make it rentable; have to keep some reserve for emergency repairs, so other than that, I'm moving into scrimp and save mode! Hope you enjoyed your first night with your new pillow. I'm feeling a bit frantic that you bought it on my recommendation, worried you'll hate it! they're not inexpensive pillows!...See MoreCan I wash my microbead pillow?
Comments (7)If you have no manufacturer's instructions, you can take a chance. I have washed stuffed animals filled with beads this way and all have come through. Most pillows are washable and what have you got to lose if you are going to pitch it? Put it in a pillow case, tied and wash it in a load of like colors. The red may bleed. Don't use bleach as it can damage the beads. Hand washing would work on most, too. I would place it over a heat vent, at my house to dry, but it doesn't get too hot. I would move it around periodically to get the inside dry. If the furnace is on, the humidity is probably low and will help it to dry otherwise put it out in the sunshine if warm outside. A dryer rack would work too but I would keep the temp low and move the beads around periodically....See MoreMy Pillow, anyone use one?
Comments (46)I'm disappointed! After reading Lukkiirish's post about the Coop Home Goods pillow and doing some further reading, I was all set to order one. But I remembered that memory foam hardens in cold temperatures and softens when warm--and my bedroom is unheated. Sure enough, I found reports of the pillow getting hard in a chilly room. That would not be good. I stayed in a hotel recently, and was surprised to find I loved the pillow. It seemed to be filled with shredded foam, and it might have been similar to the Coop Home Goods pillow. It felt great, but the room was fairly warm. I've used down pillows my whole life, but lately I've been dissatisfied with them. I have several, and the one I tend to choose most often is actually two down pillows (old, tired ones) zipped into a pillow protector together. It's time for a change....See More- 10 years ago
