Comments (25)Great colors, Amy! Neat idea to use the decorative stitch with varigated thread for quilting, too. I understand your comment about the Crazy 8 looking too random as you put it together. I felt the same way about Turning Twenty and the Wickedly Easy patterns. I did a controlled scrappy with the Wickedly Easy tractor one I did and like that much better. Comments (7)I can't tell you how much I LOVE your En Provence....that is just beautiful to me. I've yet to do a quiltville mystery, but yours is an inspiration! Congratulations on such a lovely quilt. your fan quilt is lovely as well and good for you for doing all that extra work to fix; however, no one would know if you hadn't told us, it looks great! Applause to You on your two finishes!!! I know it feels good and will make you smile every time you walk into your sewing room!...See MoreOne more finished baby quilt
Comments (13)Problems: While quilting, I managed to cut through the top while clipping a thread and had to patch with a matching piece of fabric and wonder under; one corner on the binding was very wonky. I guess I didn't square the corner right and had to undo several inches of binding, trim and redo the corner, and ease in the excess length so it's not as smooth as it should be. I've been quilting a long time and these problems could have been avoided with a little more care. Yes, I did make all of these baby quilts. Fortunately one of them had been done for a while and was just waiting for a home. I can't even remember them all now....See MoreTwo "hostage" situation quilts finished!
Comments (10)I really think that people who do things like quilting, gardening, etc. fare much better in this situation. I really feel sorry for anyone who lives in an apartment and has no indoor interests except for TV. Since I love to quilt, cook, bake and garden I'm in good shape and I'm used to being alone a lot since DH still works. My problem is that I HATE being told to stay at home. I've always been that way, even when I was a little kid. I can stay at home for weeks except for the necessities but as soon as I'm told I need to stay at home I get really edgy and itchy and rebellious....See Morepolardream
