Thanks for asking, summiebee--very sweet of you. :) I went out and bought everything last weekend. The whole kit-and-kaboodle cost $400 (2 rods, 2 holdbacks, and 4 84" curtains). I was stunned when presented with the total (what--I can't add before making a purchase???), but bought them anyway. Alas, I just got back from returning them. Turns out: I bought the wrong size rods, the matching holdbacks were too big for the window frames, and the length just didn't work out. So I'm back to Square One. I still love those curtains, though. I especially love the lined ones, because they still have some translucency, but look much nicer--due to the added helft-- gathered to the side than the unlined ones do. I'm going to sit on it for awhile and see how I feel in a couple of weeks. Meanwhile, I'm going to search for some that I might like as well, but will cost a bit less. If I'm unsuccessful, I will go back and get the others in a shorter length. On payday. :) Thanks for the link: those are lovely.

Hey! Me and baby are doing well! I did already buy curtains from JCP but thanks for thinking of me. That is a heck of a deal! I honestly didn't really think PB had really any sales! We bought a dresser tonight so I'll be back in a while with an update and asking for opinions.

Eileen, mine are standard and I don't think they do custom lengths but they do come in several lengths and widths and colors. When they came out of the box they were wrinkled and ironing this thick material was a bit of a chore (I also used these drapes in the computer room). The fabric is backed with some vinyl-looking material which is used for insulation and it is quite effective. I'm happy with these drapes, and the price was very reasonable. I did comparison shopping and these were the most cost-effective.

I bought a modified roman shade for one window from Smith and Noble and panels for my son's room from Ballard. The Smith and Noble workmanship was good, but the size was slightly off from the stated dimensions and that meant it had to be hung in a different way than I had envisioned. I would not order something like that (custom size) online again. The panels, however, were a stock size in an Ikat fabric I loved, and ordered 20 more yards of the fabric to have custom bedding made and to upholster a club chair in the same room. The panels are okay, but they were unlined so we had the workroom line them . . . it would have actually been less expensive to just have them made. So I guess my experience is that I haven't gotten exactly what I wanted with window treatments that were ordered online.
