Do you have one of those exterior wrought-iron staircases that look super cute from the outside but bring up terrifying images of slipping and tripping to death in winter? Yeah, few houses with that particular kind of detail were built in the U.S. after WWI. In fact, if that house were in the US I'd guess Victorian. But you guys held onto the Euro look a lot longer. While these diagonal corner cabs aren't as popular on the forum for aesthetic reasons, I truly do think they are useful IF you know what you're going to store on each shelf. The top shelf is always a once-in-a-while type of space. Really sort through your stuff and see what might find a home there before you decide. Try to play with one in a showroom, and maybe bring your cans or whatnot along to experiment.

I know you will love your susans and the efficiency of the rotating shelves. Just plan to store things that take advantage of the vertical space as well as horizontal shelf space. Pie shaped containers might be useful if you plan to store bulk foods there, but I don't know of any. Perhaps someone will list a source. They OUGHT to exist. Here's what I did or plan to do: The two shelves of my bottom super susan holds all of my small appliances: sous vide, mixer, blender, food processor, grill, Nesco roaster--that sort of thing. There is a lot of vertical space between these two shelves, and small items do not make good use of that vertical space, IMHO. There is very little wasted horizontal or vertical space here. One year after cabinet installation, I am just now getting around to putting super susans into the very larger corner wall cab. 15'' wall cabs make for a very big and very inaccessible upper area (26'' x 26''). I am putting four susans in with less space between than is usually planned. The two lower shelves will hold sets of fairly often used items: mugs, stemware, tumblers. Upper shelves will hold seldom used casseroles and such. Because there isn't much space between shelves, I plan to store largish flat items or sets of duplicate items like glasses to make it easier to find what I am looking for. Because the upper cabinet has glass doors, the fronts of each susan will probably showcase white teapots and pitchers for decorative effect, as the shelves do now. I simply cannot WAIT to get these installed. They SHOULD go in Saturday. They are just to big and heavy for me to lift into place. So I empathize with your eagerness to play.

firsthouse: if you read this, would you be able to measure the front dimensions of your corner? I'm trying to figure out how much wider the left side is than the right so I can talk to my cab guy about it. thank you! katy-lou: I have sort of the same thing now except I wasn't smart enough (pre-GW) to have DH make a shelf stepped back like yours. Both shelves are full depth and although I can keep a lot on them, it kills my back to get down low enough to dig for the stuff on the bottom back. I'm not nice and neat like you and I keep putting more stuff in there because I can so it's constantly shuffling to get out what I want. Your cabs are beautiful, though and I do appreciate the input and pic. I love seeing the different examples of how people make things work.

I am planning my kitchen right now and I have a few questions hoping you can help. 1-From the left wall of sink to the wall of the fridge what are the measurements? 2-Do you have the actual measurements of the finished corner sink hack? Trying to map out my renovation and want to plan accordingly 3-What is the model of dishwasher? Do you recommend? 4-Do you think that's the biggest sink you can fit in the corner space or can it go a bit bigger? 5-Do you think a slide in range would make sense? Is there any issues with your range being so close to sink? 6-Thank you so much your kitchen really inspires me
