Comments (3)Here's some more information on the plant. "Desirable" would be in the eye of the gardener. Sure has a cool-looking flower. Here is a link that might be useful: Info on Epipactis helleborine...See MoreCute little surprises in 4' pots
Comments (5)Thanks so much to all for your comments! I'm still excited to get these little roses! And hoping that we might be able to tease their roots apart when we remove them from the tiny pots, if multiples are what we do have in each of the six little pots. (No wonder each pot's rose looks so extremely full of leaves!) We'll figure on an intermediate step of putting them into their own individual pots to develop a larger root system before placing them in the ground. After all the losses to RRD, it's good to have some new roses that are safely away from the potential RRD-infected roses here. If some do make it in their individual pots we'll be sticking them into the ground to use as an edging--put them right next to the wood that holds up our landscaped planter, so we won't have encroaching plants from every side. We might also put one or two of the new miniatures, if they mostly do make it, into some attractive little pots for another area, though the area for pots gets less sun (maybe 5 hours of direct sunlight on July 4). I'm looking forward to fooling with them! Best wishes, Mary...See MoreThinning pumkins, radishes, cute little plants
Comments (4)I hate thinning too! :) I'm really looking forward to seeing the responses to this post. This is my first year with pumpkins as well. A more experienced pumpkin-grower advised me that the size of the pumpkin determined how many plants you could grow per mound, a standard pumpkin like yours probably 2 per mound, very large pumpkins just one plant per mound and very small pumpkins could handle more per mound. That's the advice I was given and I'm following it, but as I said, this is my first year so I can't make any guarantees!...See MoreMade some cute placecard holders
Comments (19)OK kids, you can stop fighting over the "purple" one as it isn't really purple, just looks that way in the pic! LOL Karen, you could use a regular drill, I just used the press as I was drilling into the hats and since they are sloped the press kept the bit from "skittering." You would just need to hold them very steady so you got the hole started where you wanted it. Also, the resin is not that thick, so you don't have to drill very much. Thanks for the compliments on the holders and the jeep. I'm glad Karen found me too, as you ladies are just the best and it is so much fun to share things on here. TTFN, Candy...See Moremoonwolf_gw
