Comments (4)Container growing is a world for container experts; and there are plenty here who can help you; maybe start a new thread with that question, or search the site using that little search box at the top right of the page. I think you should fertilize about 4 times per year with a citrus fert that has a ratio of NPK near 5-1-3. I would also get a good foliar fert with micronutrients; I use Bayer Bayfolan Forte for my garden trees and apply it every 15 days; others here use Foliage Pro or others. Some container growers or drip irrigation growers like to apply fertilizer every time they water... sometimes called "weakly weekly". Again, I have little experience with container growing except in my nurseries....See MoreJust got a Owari Satsuma tree any advice how to care for her?
Comments (2)Pa weather means growing it in a non-native environment. I have 3 owari one in ground 2 in pots. They grow slow but i enjoy the christmas time fruit when they produce which for me is inconsistent. Get away from the MG and make a version of the 5-1-1 bark mix. I have read that OS like the soil on the dry side....See MoreNo. CA....Owari Satsuma ripe ??
Comments (1)Owari is an early variety but my guess is it will improve and sweeten over the next couple of weeks....See Morecostco owari satsuma
Comments (23)Hmmmm, just an idea... maybe contact Franz? They might be able to tag the order and ship the exact variety you want. [?] I've asked them for their code list in the past without success.. I was trying to find out all the varieties they offer. I was able to piece together the list below. it is NOT intended to be an availability list. I think they had a Rootstock coded R16, but cannot be sure as it was seen years ago.
