No it isn't a cast iron plant. Yes it stays green all winter. It does have a small greenish white pine cone shaped (but not the same texture, soft not woody) bloom. It is very short and almost hidden in the leaves. Sorry, no bloom right now. there isn't anything showy or flashy about this plant but it is a fantastic standard. It keeps the water from washing everything away and it seems to love the shade. As idig said on an earlier post, when I dropped them up in the sun they didn't grow well. they even lost the deep green color to a wash out green.

I like the small ones. I am pretty small myself. Three Amigos Aloe Bonsi Rescued leaf or pad starting One of the babies. Loving the fall color. CC, Erin, That Brillo Frog was probably one of the best sellers for Duncan. It is glazed in 'Spring Bouquet'. I still have that mold in the garage. The ceramic fad dropped out in the late '70ies. I bought a defunct ceramic business in 87. If I could not plant in it the mold went. I love to combine my hobbies. Still do. Good pots are hard to find and I think the market has junk. First, I have not acquired nor spread any such CRFs, anywhere, especially not around my trash can. Second, the trash can is kept in a secluded place next to the house. So, no one else would have access nor a reason to spread such CFRs on my property. Third, usually CFRs are solid so as to release over time. These are not CFRs. They have an egg-like, thin outer shell and the contents are an egg-like slimy, cloudy liquid. Release of liquid contents can not be time release controlled, it is all or nothing once the covering is breached. Forth, these things are buried and covered as a bunch of about 20-30 in a shallow hole in loose soil/yard debris, like an animal would lay and bury it's eggs. If they are eggs, generally, they should hatch in about 5-8 weeks. I have covered one bunch with a glass jar pressed into the soil to keep them contained if they hatch. I am curious if anyone can identify them at this time.

I keep finding these small, round, green things buried slightly under the surface of a patch of loose soil/ground debris next to my trash can outside. Squeezing will cause it to break and burst/expel a slimy, cloudy liquid substance similar to an egg. Is this an egg? From what? I live in Neosho, Missouri, USA.
