Places to see in MB, HH areas?
Comments (9)SEAFOOD, Lucky, SEAFOOD! You'll be in a place where the seafood will be straight off the boats for heavens' sake! Cousin, I better hear a report that you gorged yourself on fresh SOMETHING from the water while down there, or I'll be mighty disappointed. Just don't go to Hudson's in HH. WAY overrated for some reason. I mentioned to Lucky that he needed to make The Sea Captain's House a culinary priority while in Myrtle. Lucky, you will be quite disappointed in that there are few good nurseries (other than retail garden centers) in the HH/Beaufort area. Truthfully, when I lived in Beaufort I bought all of my plants (for big jobs) out of Tennessee! Shady Grove (SC) will be too far away for you to visit. Say, there's Parson's nursery in Georgetown. If you come down 17 to go back through Charleston (to see the Angel Oak on John's Island, a must), you will pass Parson's. Seems like there are a couple of nurseries right in that area (Georgetown). Interested in doing something a little different? Check out the Ace Basin tour. Could be something on your own, but the whole family would like it. It will get you out of the horrid traffic of Hilton Head for a while ;-) and into Beaufort where you get the boat. Beaufort is a very cool place, worthy of a side trip just to drive around in the historic sections. Any of the restaurants along the waterfront are very good. Comments (45)Oh, Annie, this was one of the few I thought I had posted to while on vacation using my DStepFIL's dial-up. So sorry for the delay. A few on dial-up did me in until I returned home. Glad I checked your thread!! I just love that picnic basket and the comfy looking blankets. Picnic cookbooks, always a favorite with me! The cool and refreshing items look fun. I always like local papers/mags; althouh, I typically forget to include them!! Great package Annie! Enjoy it!! Super box David!!...See MoreA day at the beach with Makayla and Bud
Comments (17)Jessica, he really likes to cook, he cans his own salsa (but has decided that mine is better, smart man!) and actually enjoys Penzey's, Trader Joe's and that Mediterranean grocery. I tried to convince him to sign up but he says that the forum is "my own space" and he's not going to "intrude on it". I think he's just scared of you! Plus, I figure after he meets a few of you, he'll be here out of curiosity. Annie...See MoreA Day At the Beach (A dog Video...Long)
