Has anyone, anyone ever had a Mango fruit up north in a pot?
Comments (2)Mike mangos do very well in containers in the GH. Make sure you get a grafted dwarf variety. They are almost as easy as papayas. Some varieties do better in pots then others. I still think the flavor of container grown fruit up north is inferior to inground and container trees grown trees from down South but it's fun to be able to pick fruit off your own tree. I got rid of most of my fruit trees a while back so that I could devote more GH space to flowering plants. Years ago there were few varieties available in the grocery store and they weren't that ripe or tasty but now I can get a wide variety of ripe mangos at the Asian markets. Have you taken a look at the Tropical Fruit Forum? You can get a lot of good info there....See MoreWhat experience has anyone had ordering from Plant Lust?
Comments (20)I bought a Japanese maple from them last fall, planted it within 24 hours. It was dormant, but seemed to be OK. This spring, there were buds. The leaves were slow to emerge from the buds, though (other Japanese maples in the neighborhood were in full leaf before the buds started opening). And then about six weeks ago, everything went dead. The buds/leaves seemed dead, but the trunk was still green, so I did not (yet) despair. I made sure it was watered once a week. At first, it looked like there might be new buds, but those have not materialized, and the trunk is now black. In short, the tree never leafed out. I contacted them, and they said their policy is to not provide refunds after 48 hours of receipt of the tree. I have bought plants regularly from a handful of places, and this is the first time I have had anyone refuse to either replace or refund. More than $200 down the drain. No leaves ever. I will not be buying from Plant Lust again....See MoreHas anyone else had problems with the white paint on starmark cabinets
Comments (4)JuneKnow...When I clean them with a damp sponge, moisture collects in the crevice between the trim and the door face. But the paint is also coming off too easily and there are a few places where it has chipped off. I stripped the stain off and painted my old cabinets, and didn't have this problem....See MoreHas Anyone Here had Long C-vid?
Comments (21)Thank you so much for all of your ideas and kind words. I am also sorry for all of you who have or are still dealing with this. I do think I'm going to make an appointment with the functional medicine dr. and see if she has any ideas that might help. I have been trying to get outside daily. Luckily where I live we have mild winters with many sunny days. I’ve been so frustrated with not being able to get back to Pilates at my prior level. I simply do not have much stamina, but I am continuing to try. I have gone to the same studio for over five years, it‘s small and my instructors are fine with whatever pace I can keep on a particular day. Thanks again for listening and empathizing. I am always amazed at the wealth of knowledge here....See Moretete_a_tete
