Comments (10)thank you! suzyq53, to answer your question, we added a large closet in the corner on the wall with the bar so we could have storage to put away toys. We desperately needed that, though it does limit the option of having a TV on that wall as the wall space gets tighter on that side. I went through a bunch of media console options with my husband last night - from navy blue to asian-inspired to more traditional. What I'm realizing is that he has a stronger preference for more traditional looks for larger pieces and he is more comfortable with me adding pops of color and uniqueness in pillows, wall art, decor that can be more easily changed out. This is our first time decorating a space we designed for ourselves so I get it. Of all the pieces I showed him that I would like, he liked this one the best. It's 68" so it can accommodate a larger TV if we upgrade down the road. It has a little bit of uniqueness in that it brings in iron in the doors. And with the glass, I'm thinking that I can insert pops of color through decor. Do you think that will still look okay?...See MoreNeed advice for painting this table
Comments (35)I think the table is nice. Like tuesday_2008 mentioned. The table was inexpensive go ahead and play around with it. I personally don't care for that particular white paint on it now. If you want to try the silver go for it. If you don't like it you can always paint again! Decorating especially with paint can always be trial and error. I've had a few of the errors over the years! But that's how you learn and improve....See MoreLiving room coffee table and table lamp advice
Comments (30)This room would be greatly improved by a colored rug. Here are some examples. To many rectangles and squares in this room. I would move the ottoman to the near side of the sofa and for coffee table I would do a round table, either a single round table or two round tables next to each other, usually one is higher than the other. If going with a Persian rug or Caucasus rug as shown above, some people like to use glass-topped table to show the pattern of the rug below. Here are some coffee table ideas- Here is a similar one with some glitz- The one below comes in different wood finishes This is a modern rug on Houzz from Mohawk Home, but the colors are just perfect....See Morebac717
