My baby cutting bloomed two flowers about 2 weeks ago. They were small and didn't last long, but were beautiful and intensely fragrant. I'm in z9, and we've had some cold weather, but not for long.

Ebb Tide and Midnight Blue are similar to the Cardinal's purple and are repeat bloomers. I decided to get CdR anyway because the color was just perfect on it. It's in a spot by my deck where it will blend in when it isn't blooming.

I thought about it some more, and decided the mystery girl looked like a Rugosa - Setigera hybrid. Rugosa leaves seem to start out pointy, and round-out with age. Supposedly, Therese is very vigorous and very fragrant. Like she could be anything else, with ancestry like that. And Rosa Setigera is reputed to be one of two roses with resistance to Rose Rosette Disease. PS: I think you guys are right. I looked at Therese Bugnet, and the pink seems consistent across photos - and a match to that of the Mystery Rose. Bugnet's ancestry, BTW, is complicated and quite exotic. Never sure of anything, but HMF says its highest heat tolerance is zone 8, and we are 9/10. I have been trying to stick with heat loving roses in my garden, as there are plenty of them I want which love it here and are healthy here. Not a "zone pusher". Jackie
