LOL...always wondered what your name meant. I didn't know there was a shrub called saltcedar, so it's funny you should be the one to reply to my post. Sounds like it's extremely invasive. So nix any ideas about getting one for my yard, but now I know why I don't see them available in the nurseries. I don't see any seedlings or a grove of these on the neighbor's property, so maybe he keeps after it? Thanks for replying so quickly.

Yes, certainly an Ironweed. Can't tell which one from the picture, though. They're nice native late summer wildflowers. WW
