I came to hate it. I bought it b/c I only had a short distance to water. But it still needed to be stretched to get to the furthest point. It's just like the curly telephone lines (remember those?) after a lot of stretching it inevitably begins to kink. No matter how careful you are about coiling it up, it will begin to take on a life of its own. If its inexpensive and convenient, do it. Just don't expect to get more than two years of "normal" life out of it, if you are watering anything that requires it to be fully stretched out often. It is probably worth $10 or $15 bucks a season. Ah ha!! That's the one, thanks star_stuff! I remembered it had some kind of snazzy name, but could not, for the life of me, rememeber it. I think I may have to try constructing one of these, just for sh*ts and giggles. I don't know how well it'd fare supporting a giant heirloom, but it looks like it might be good for cherries. Maybe if the loops were bigger, it'd be able to hold a larger plant and help it keep its hands to itself.

What style is this?

That looks way too flimsy and unexpected. That equals spilled items. A nice, large tray or end table would make a much better place to set a drink.
