Comments (15)There is a color palette generator in encycolorpedia, but it is far too technical for me to understand...someone like funcolors would I'm sure. But it allows you to generate a color palette using various settings and yielding various results with hex codes. It works off of a url only though....See MoreFurniture painting/refinishers, can you explain this? LOVE this

I've done something similar with flat paint and shoe polish....you know the old Kiwi stuff that you buff up with a snap rag. The finish doesn't wear well....but with all the colors of paint out there and all the colors of shoe polish...the possibilities are nearly endless. Think of a light slate with Cordovan polish...or a pale yellow with black wax. It's also great for "decorator stuff" like picture frames, little boxes, small corner tables etc. But I sure wouldn't think of it on a dining room table. Many of the Chinese species, RR. filipes, brunonii, helenae, longicuspis, rubus, and soulieana are superb for flinging over overgrown hedgerows and into small and large trees. Comments (14)wonder where gary is.. i bet he could confuse us more.. lol ... PP as plant parent.. makes no logical sense to me.... its like you are either lazy in your record keeping... or you are hiding the dna background .... for god knows what reason ... and that was a thing back in the day ... had to protect that million dollars you were going to make with the new hosta you developed ... yeah.. that never happened .... i did note when looking it up the other day... PP was used on either side of the 'X' ... and i have some vague recollection.. there is a rule for which is supposed to be listed first.. pod or pollen parent ... aw.. who cares.. some of these breeders are worse than the nomenclature police ... lol.. at least we dont have to worry about that .. unless they decide that they arent hosta anymore .... ken...See Morenosoccermom
