Hollyhock lifecycle questions

My hollyhocks bloomed last year (the first year - I wintersowed them), and kept blooming through January. I cut them back last month and now they're putting out new foliage.

I know they're supposed to be biennial. Is there a chance they'll bloom again this year? When they reach the end of their biennial lifecycle will they die, or just stop blooming? Will I need to dig them out?

Here they are last year at 6' tall in full glorious bloom.
