favorite drip tapes

what is your favorite drip line kit? im looking at Irri-gator from Johnnys Seeds. has anyone used it? pros, cons or other suggestions?

It is probably ok but high priced. You'll find much better pricing from the companies that specialize in drip irrigation products. You eliminate the middle man price mark-up if you deal direct.. Plus the one at Johnny's is 12" spacing. Depends on the crop but 6 or 8" spacing is better for most crops IME.

I use the 12" spacing, and the spread of the water is good enough that if I have to plant every 6", it's fine. You can find it in 100' and 500' rolls. I like it for my onlons and beans, peas, things that are planted closer together. I don't use it for my larger crops, tomatoes, zucchini etc. Here is a link that might be useful: Drip Tape

mh, If durability is your aim then buy the the thickest wall drip tape you can find from a reliable manufacturer. Like John Deere and others. Also look at the way the move out of the tape. How calibrated the flow is per pressure rating. Make sure you regulate to the proper pressure for the tape rating. aloha

Two ideas, one put some hooks in the garage or on a wall out of view and wind the tape between the hooks. A large shallow ceramic pot could contain the tape and look nice to boot. These ideas are just my $0.02 worth so pay up. Aloha

I have just set up a 15mil system for 2 small raised beds. 1st about 32 sq and the other about 20 sq. There is a 25PSI limiter and it's 12" OC drips. How long might I expect to water in general.? I gather, from the specs, about 50GPH. Does anyone find the connections, as they are, are prone to popping now and then? Does anyone know where I can find single barbed 5/8" Drip Tape Connectors without paying $25 shipping? I'd like to get a couple more.
