If it is in a large pot with no drainage, it could be overwatering. The roots might not be reaching the bottom of the pot and the water could be pooling there. I would repot it in a pot with drainage holes and if the pot is a lot larger than it should be then you should give it a smaller pot since kentias are slow growing palms anyway. Another problem could be the dry air indoors if you are running air conditioning. Misting the leaves could be a fix for that problem. Also check for webs between the leaflets and pretty much at any joints. If you see small webs, those are from spider mites which could be the cause of your problem. They love the indoors. Along with possible fungus, there's clearly bugs involved (small white wriggly worms). I'd also spray the entire plant, soil and all with either a dishsoap solution and/or Neem Oil. I'd spray a couple of times a week and after the spray, cover the entire plant and pot in a bag of some sort. Leave the bag on for a day then uncover. In 2-3 days more, repeat. Do that until problem solved. hope that helps

I can't believe someone thought those were seeds. Seeds on sagos are orange and are almost 3 inches in diameter. Those are the typical brown, round scales. You don't hear much about those because they aren't such a bad problem. Spray some horticultural oil directly on the scales and it will smother them. If you do, use it first thing in the morning because it will burn if used closer to noon time. You can also use twice brewed coffee as a direct contact spray of you don't like the oil.
