New floor will cause 1 1/2" rise above the kitchen and bathroom tile

I just bought a 2nd floor condo and there is no underlayment below hardwood floors. The downstairs neighbor can hear our conversations, her ceiling shakes, etc.

I'd like to pull the floors, add 3/4" rubber mat, 3/4" OSB and then 3/8" engineered wood. The current hardwood is 3/4" and is raised 3/8" above the tile in the kitchen and bathroom. So with this setup, I'm looking at 1 1/2" over the tile.

I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this but is there a solution other than tearing out the tile?
