Yumtomatoes, My eyes and my mouth suggest to me that all the tomatoes on one plant may not be GENETICALLY IDENTICAL!!! Furthermore, I have saved and kept segregated seed from two tomatoes sourced from the same plant. These were planted in rows side by side the next spring. There were observable differences in row to row performance, as well as plant to plant performance in the same row. Of course, there is the rare chance one or both could have been externally cross pollinated--not very likely. On only one occasion have I gone to the trouble of bagging a blossom cluster before they opened, then saved the seed for future use. Though I did not do side by side row comparisons from seed collected from more than one tomato I did see plant to plant variation from single tomato sourced seed. I have a suspicion that there are trivial genetic variations in all seed from the same fruit and major variations between some of the seeds. I can't otherwise account for what I have observed.

Anj, these are just great! So big and bright, bet you didn't use your favorite iddy biddy brushes on these! LOL I miss you and all the gals from here. We had allot of fun didn't we? I picked up a paintbrush today for the first time since last Christmas! Have a friend who used to paint so we decided we should do a project together to maybe get us back into it. I'll try to remember to post a picture when we finish the project. I looked through several of my books recently so the interest is returning somewhat. Still have lots of cute patterns I'd like to use. So what got you started on doing yard art? Are you doing your own cutouts? Using the jig say probably right? Thanks guys! Everyone here grows great plants too! Todd - I grow mine under a 6500k CPL the flourowing unit. I suspend 2 lights under a bench and my plants are on the floor under them for about 12 hours a day, with an hour break during noon. I find that sometimes leaves gets crispy if they are under lights for too long, even with a fan for ventilation. Kevin - these plants are quite rarely seen in our region too, they grow like weeds in the west coast. Most of my plants are from ebay sellers from there. Howard - your plants are always so drool worthy! Let me know if you would like to trade once I manage to successfully propagate some of my fussier plants. Rina - perhaps its a new hybrid with a chroma parentage. Howard did you seed grown these?

Echeveria Subsessilis Angela - Echeverias generally have edgier and pointier leaves than Graptos, Graptos leaves are very fat and fleshy, usually more rounded at the tip of the leaves. That's in general! Due to so much hybrids it's hard to tell apart an Echeveria or a cross for a beginner even with a discerning eye. It takes time to and experience to learn the varieties out there.
