Packaging rum balls for a church bake sale?

Our church's annual bake sale is approaching and the woman who usually make rum balls was mentioning that she probably won't make them this year.

If that's indeed true (and I do NOT want to step on toes if she changes her mind, so I'll confirm with her), I was thinking of making Midnight Rum Balls from the chowhound website.

What's a good and yet inexpensive way to "package" these--I was figuring putting them in little paper candy cups, but don't want to put them on a small paper plate wrapped in saran wrap, y'know? Putting them in small candy boxes is good and pretty, but even with the 40% coupon from Michael's, that can get expensive!

Any ideas??? Thanks in advance (and recipe is below)!

Smiles,

Sooz

MIDNIGHT RUM BALLS

1 small package (8.5 oz.) regular Oreo cookies (or Newman’s
Own or TJ’s Joe Joe’s)

1/2 cup confectioner's sugar

1 cup finely chopped nuts (optional)

3 Tbsp unsweetened or sweetened cocoa powder

2 Tbsp corn syrup

1/3 cup light or med dark rum (if you use more, the balls might be TOO wet & gooey & fall apart)

granulated sugar

NOTES: These could also be made with Amaretto instead of rum, and rolled in cocoa instead of sugar. Oreo cookies probably don't come in that size bag anymore, so weigh out your ingredients.

Directions:

Put whole cookies in food processor and whiz until they are finely
crushed into tiny crumbs.

In medium bowl, combine crumbs, powdered sugar, optional nuts, and
cocoa.

Blend in corn syrup and rum.

Wet hands and shape mixture into one-inch balls; roll in
granulated sugar.

Store covered, in a cool place. (Rum balls are reported to be better after
they have "mellowed" for a day or two--if you can stay away from eating them!)
