Jasdip, oh my gosh, we had the best time in Buenos Aires. I traveled there with a gal who had already been there four times, so knew her way around. The city is broken up into some pretty distinct areas. I'm happy you are enjoying the street scenes. The shopping was great. I bought two pairs of boots that I wear all the time plus all kinds of other goodies. Ever seen a Yerba Mate cup? I bought two of those. Mate is the national hot beverage in Argentina and you carry your own personal mate cup wherever you go. You can get just plain hot water on the streets to refresh your mate. The cups are usually made out of gourds and decorated on the outside with paint, metal, jewels, you name it. The insides are left natural. You use a metal straw with one end that looks like a sieve. It's designed to keep the loose yerba mate leaves in the cup while you drink. This is a cup that belongs to a gal who had us over for dinner one night. One's trash ... is someone else's treasure. Squirrels don't bother me much, but they can be a nuisance. But coons - they can be real pains in the patoot, at times ... e.g. when they pull down over a hundred ears of sweet corn ... and take about one bite out of each. That I'd figured to take to a couple of churches, social agencies, etc. Almost did, putting on a sign, "Using a sharp knife, cut out the chewed part and a bit extra: the rest, wrapped by the husk, is O.K. - even if you're playing second fiddle to a coon!". ole joyful
