I’m not sure what the question is here, but I’ve tried many many Austins in my zone 10 garden (regardless of the zone they recommend) and almost all of them did well desp the heat. However, disease was an issue and most didn’t make it after a few years. Those that do thrive in my garden are the ones that have good natural resistance to disease and good vigor. Spirit of freedom, Huntington rose, Pat Austin, Evelyn, Charlotte, Princess Anne, Geoff Hamilton, James Galway, heritage, Winchester cathedral, mary rose, Abe Darby , wollerton old hall, litchfield Angel and Charles Darwin have all done well for me. Teasing Georgia grows very well, but lacks blooms. Queen of Sweden is ok, but her blooms are tiny in the hot climate. Failures include Alnwick Castle, jubilee celebration, strawberry Hill, Jude the obscure, and Leander. I’ve tried these on multiple occasions without success.
