Why does air pump quit pumping air?
Comments (3)a 1/4" air line is not sufficient for that sized pump. It is designed to handle multiple 1/4" lines. You could use a section of garden hose for an air line or go to lowes and buy some 1/2" clear tubing. The 1/4" line put too much back pressure on the pump and may have blown the diaphram in there. The Dolphin AV-50 can sit in the rain....mine have for several years now with no ill effects. But yours is an AV-50? Not sure if it has a weather proof housing or not. How much do you want for the dolphin? I many be interested in it. Or you can try craig's list....See MoreWhat size air pump for 20 feet of tubing
Comments (1)The air pump will only be affected by the amount of tubing in the water. So if you have 10 feet and 2 feet under water vs 15 inches and 2 feet underwater you will have the same results. For a 5 gallons DWC, get an air pump for a 20 gallon aquarium. You can never have too much air....See MoreAir Conditioning Question - drain tube drains water under my home
Comments (0)i just had central AC installed in our 20 year old MH. the contractor put a pvc drain tube thru the floor near the coil which is fine, but i am wondering if the small puddle (5" in circumference) of drain water i see on the ground under the home could become stagnant and become a mold issue?? our soil is very sandy fortunately, but with all of the skirting blocking off airflow, i figured i better ask. thanks for any input! :-)...See MoreRecommendations for a Cold Climate Air to Air Heat Pump
Comments (7)I suggest you look into the Carrier Greenspeed heat pump. They are the inverter type which have better performance than the traditional air source heat pump at low temperatures.. I would think a 2 ton heat pump would be sufficient for your 1000 sq. foot condo. The data shows at 20 degrees F the heat pump can put its rated 24,000 BTUs. Below 20 it begins to drop off. At 10 degrees it is around 22,000 BTUs, at 0 degrees the heat output is about 17,000 BTUs. You probably would need back up resistance heat below 10 degrees F....See Moregardev
