Healthy dwarf banana with no bananas

I have a dwarf banana plant that I have had for approx. 1 year. It was in a 10 inch pot when I got it, and I just repotted it as the roots were growing outside of the pot in many areas. I used 1/2 and 1/2 potting soil and compost. I water it with water from my fish tank and fertilize it probably once per month. I mist it every few days, and it's in a south facing window. My banana plant seems to love life - it grows a new leaf about every week, which is probably good as I live in Southwestern Ontario (Canada). I plan to keep it outside this summer as weather allows, as well. My question is, how can I 'persuade' my banana plan to grow bananas?
