Something new in User accounts

After my recent install of updates, I see in User Accounts a new heading. Web Credentials. The first two listings I do not recognize. They both use a version including my email address, something I would not do. The listings give a URL for the site you used a password on. These 2 URL's are 16 characters. I need to find out what they are. I did not set these up, yes, I can remove them, but first I want to know how they got here. This worries me. Anyone have any ideas? I've tried Google, no answers. Thanks.

In control panel you might want to look in the Credential Manager. There you can expand and see login/passwords for websites that you have saved.. There will be a couple or more of multi digit credentials-codes for Microsoft/Windows updates that won't have a recognizable website address. This is normal.

What version of windows do you have ?

I think you can safely ignore this part of your PC and not give it another thought .

Hi, Thanks for the responses. I do recall going through something that may have been an account set-up process. (I was rushing and didn't pay attention. It could also have been just a 'naming of the computer' step.) I'll check at my earliest convenience. It was, indeed, Windows 7, so perhaps what I did was create a user account after all as bpgreen suggested. RE: genes' concern about CCleaner. No problem. I'm the only one who does any 'maintenance' on her computer, and I use it at default settings for the most part. (And I never touch registry changes.) :-)

are you sure you're hooping right? Also though Jenni said you don't always have to hoop, you do understand her I hope. You are actually "hooping" the stabilizer, then you spray that and stick the fabric on top of that, then proceed to stitch.

If you read the form "Nonbusiness Energy Property Credit You may be able to take a credit of 30% of the costs paid or incurred in 2009 for any qualified energy efficiency improvements and any residential energy property. The credit is limited to a total of $1,500 for tax years 2009 and 2010" The people that just filled in $1,500 for the credit may be asked to provide additional documentation as tax forms are reviewed. You can take the chance of IRS catching the error or do it correctly the way your accountant tells you. I say bravo for the accountant. If you paid $5,000 for the system you might be able to claim the full amoung.

Win8.1 The reason I question these two web addresses is that they are not like the rest . They don't use the usual "http://www. I have always kept a notebook with my passwords in it. I did not set these up. If they are credential codes for Windows updates, why would a password have been included? I've never done a password for an update.

there are also 2 other web site addresses I know I didn't set up. webcachegoogle. I know I didn't set up, they require a password also. I have no idea what that is either... Call me paranoid, call me crazy, I'm afraid it may have been done when this machine was at a repair shop. Thanks for the reply mikie.

I have taken the time to look up webcache. As I understand it, it loads web pages in order to speed up the process. Well, since my machine came back from the repair shop, my browser loading has slowed considerably. This machine has a 2.9 Ghz processor, and when we first got it, it was lightening fast. It takes many seconds to load webpages, and quite often we get a message saying "this page can't be displayed". Windows Network Diagnostics page opens, goes thru a long search process to find problem. Frequently, it says it can't find the problem. I close the page and my desired page opens right up. I don't understand why this is happening. And ideas on this???

Clear your temporary internet files, or cache.

If that doesn't do better, then maybe just save your bookmarks or favorites and uninstall the browser completely - restart the computer before going to whoever's browser direct wet site and reinstalling it.

webcache... do you mean for google chrome online cache, or the browser cache?

I don't use google things at all if I can help it.
