Possible Shipped Orchid Isues

Hi folks,

Just received three Cats via FedEx this morning. When I opened
the box, they were quite cold. They went right into a warmer bedroom
(about 70 or so) and I put the humidifier on for a couple hours. One I
watered once they'd warmed up as it was bone dry. Although I was home
when delivered, they must have been left overnight in the truck.

Though it seems likely that they won't show any damage until a bit of time has passed, but is
there anything else I can do? We're in zone 4b (Colorado) if it helps.
One of the cats has three large buds on it. Am I most likely to lose
those? They're staying the same room they're currently in, which sunny and warm room and where I can control the
humidity somewhat. They have not been put in the sunlight yet.

The types are:

Blc. Pamela Finney 'Victory' (this one has the buds)

Lc. Blue Angel 'Glove' SM/JOGA (large plant)

C. maxima var. coerulea (Seedling).

These
are my first Cats and I'd really like them to do well. Not sure why an
option for a heat pack wasn't given, but I guess I did expect them to
be shipped well-wrapped. This will be the last time I order from an large Orchid house at this time of the year. It certainly taught me a lesson.

Also-two of these have
plastic ties around them, evidently holding their stalks up. Is it all
right to untie these? I'm definitely not concerned with show-ability!

Thanks-

Best regards,Judy
