Icons...what you've described is (I think) exactly what is supposed to happen. Second problem...you could try selecting the object with a right-click. You may get a context-menu with an option to delete it. However, if the pic is the result of a program that you installed on the computer, getting rid of the pic does not get rid of the program.

I buy 4gig Kingston thumb drives at Big Lots all the time for $12. They are really not very expensive. Most all places that sell electronics will have them including walmart. A 4 gig is a nice size will hold quite a bit. I think you may want to buy locally and avoid shipping costs. First of all you will need to figure out why the CD Rom does not recognize the recovery disk. The user should put the recovery disk in, then reboot, see if the disk is recognized at that point. If you get the NTLDR message it's still trying to boot from the hard drive. Check the boot order in BIOS. Now come back and tell us what happens and what error is generated when the user boots the computer with the recovery disk in it. Then tell us the user has checked the BIOS and the CD rom is listed as the first boot device. If this computer is back from repair with the same issue I can only think the hard drive is failing....

Can you bluetooth it? You can check and see if that's built in by right-clicking "My Computer" selecting "Properties" then click the "Hardware" tab then click the "Device Manager" button and look through the list of devices and see if you have anything bluetooth.
