As above, yep -- a plumber licensed for gas can hook it up and, for that matter, make any adjustments to the line, shut-off, etc. that you might need. Beyond that, if you're in a good size town I suspect that there are appliance installation people who can take care of set-up, adjustment, etc., if needed. No experience with Capital myself, but maybe your sales man can find a name or two for you -- I gather that mail order is a decent part of their business and I suspect that they have some information on installation and service people in certain cities. Failing that, a shout-out on this or several boards might produce contact information.

The foot/inch thing is a quirk of GW titles. You can use two single quotes and it'll work. I'm 5'8", 5'10" in comfy shoes. My standard depth (24"?) M-A hood is installed at the standard 30" from the counter and it's fine. I have a pot rail, and tend to lean forward at times, and mine is over cooktop rather than range, so probably the same relative depth. You do see the baffles if you're looking up, of course, but they aren't ugly. You don't see them from standing, unless you're right underneath. No uglies, no bonking. It'll be fine as you've spec'd it. The thing you should check, though, is how you feel about the height of the knobs. That depends not so much on the height of your head, but your shoulders and length of your arms. Some people put in remote switches, which I think would be better than lowering the hood more than an inch.

The glow light stays on all the time while the grill, broiler and oven is on.

David, I posted another message re calibrating your CC ovens, not sure where it went... Ask Capital to give you instructions on calibrating your oven, you should not have to mentally calibrate your temperature setting each time you use an oven. My repair tech calibrated my oven. He removed the oven knob and used a flat heat screwdriver to turn a set screw in the shaft. Put your thermometer in the oven, a remote temperature probe like you would use to keep track of temp on a roast would be good. Turn your oven on, and track the cycling of the temp. You will need to turn the screw in the shaft to adjust the temp up or down. I don't remember which direction the tech turned it, but you could start with what the eHow article says, if you can't get specific info from Capital. You are aiming to have the set temp exactly in the middle of the temp range that the oven thermostat cycles to. If the temperature range is very large when the oven cycles on and off, you should talk to Capital about getting a new thermostat. After I go the new one, it cycled very tightly, about 10 degrees above and 10 below. I would think anything with 20 to 25 above and below to be acceptable. I certainly wouldn't be happy with 50 or 80 above or below (and some brands of ranges have thermostats that are that bad). But you will need a technician to install the new thermostat. It's not a simple install because it requires removing lots of stuff to get to where it goes. Good luck, Mary Ann
