Deck set in concrete patio

The 11' x 17' deck on our house (off back of first floor over walkout basement) is almost 30 years old and should be replaced, per my husband. 17 years ago, I had a stamped concrete patio put i, same size as the deck, and there is concrete around the support beams for the deck (6x6s, I guess). The beams are splitting and have some signs of rot near the bottom.

I'm wondering if there is a way to avoid jackhammering this whole patio. Is it possible to cut squares around the support beams and remove them and replace them? Then leave an open square around each one when the deck is replaced?

Yes it is possible to cut the concrete.

Thanks. If the issue is support beams that are splitting and may have some rot at the cement line, can new support beams be put in place without tearing our and replacing an entire deck? I guess the supports have to be sunk in footers and not just on top of the cement patio and attached somehow?

Thanks for the reply. The smaller the better, as my backyard is pretty tiny. I shoulda gotten a smaller table, but it was a good deal so I went with it. The deck will only be about 6" higher than the rest of the yard/garden, so walking around space is not really needed. But of course, I'd like guests to be able to sit comfortably (without falling off the edge lol) - Maybe 7x7? Sry, I don't have a pic of the area in question - my yard is so tiny, I couldn't get a good photo of it.

Another decking tile which uses Ipe wood from Sth America is available at www.swiftdeck.com. These seem to be a bit thicker than the VIFAH tiles. They also have couple of styles and have some clip on accessory pieces which make a neat finish to the outside of the deck and might be useful if you want a neat finish around your raised patio. We've had our pool for 8 years and used pavers. A big reason for our choice was drainage. They did a great job and we've had no settling issues, there was even a leak that required repairs under part of the decking so that turned out to be a good choice. We did experience some mold in the wetter sections and weeds growing between pavers after a while. We recently hired a highly rated, professional paver company to redo the sand between the pavers which requires a good powerwash cleaning, replacement of the joint sand, machine-tamping it all, and a sealant. Unfortunately after a couple strong rains the sand was partially washed out in some areas. They came back and redid the entire job again only to have the issue repeat itself and now we're discussing next moves.

What material is used for the patio set? Most exterior patio pieces are designed for external weather. We have cushions for our chairs that are supposed to be able to be left out---but sitting on a wet cushion is a drag, so we take them in unless used. The tables/chairs are either aluminum or cast iron(both painted). Our patio is covered, but condensation/wind happens, so light cleaning is necessary about twice a year

Yes the support beams can replaced without tearing out and replacing the entire deck. A temporary support structure would be installed.

It is possible to hire unlicensed workers to attach metal interfaces on the top of the patio with some kind of attachment.

Oh heck no! We'll do it right and legal is it needs to be done. First step will be a structural inspection of the deck's support structure.
