How do I verify that my new Blanco sinks are indeed Silgranit II?
Comments (10)Looks like I worried for nothing. I emailed and called Blanco to find out, talked to 2 different people and got the same information both times. I gave them model #s, and they verified that they were definitely Silgranit II. As for the older manufactured date on the prep sink, apparently Biscuit was the first color to be made out of the new material and that was in 2007. I guess the shipping box won't necessarily say Silgranit II, mine just say Blanco. HomePerfect was great to order from. They were friendly, packaged the sinks nicely, and shipped quickly. I ordered last Friday and received them yesterday. Both sinks look to be in perfect condition, no cracks. I would order from them again....See Morewhite or black blanco silgranit sink
Comments (7)Have you thought about the metallic gray? I used it with my gray Carrara, and it works well. I almost hesitate to show this pic pre-plumbing as the coloring is off. The metallic is much grayer than this IRL. http://www.flickr.com/photos/48735425@N05/6292256668/ I also thought the white silgranits in the showrooms looked plasticy and thought the black wasn't a rich color. Love the metallic though! I even used it in my walnut island for my prep sink....See MoreCleaning my Blanco Silgranit sink
Comments (15)Blanco sells a Siligranit sink cleaner. You can order on line (Google it) or check with your local plumbing supply store. I've had my Blanco Siligranit sink now for two years and only use my dish cloth to wipe it dry when I am finished with my dishes. I have never used a cleaner or wool pad on it. I will use the Blanco Siligranit cleaner on it to see if it makes a difference in its appearance. It looks just fine, but this cleaner is supposed to make it look like new again....See MoreDid I just get a Blanco Silgranite I sink (not Silgranite II)?
Comments (7)The Homeperfect site is working today. If you think you didn't get what you paid for and you are concerned about durability, then I'd return it. The number on their website is 1-888-850-3999. (That might be a sales line; they should be able to give you a customer service number. Also there should be a number in the paperwork you got with your order.) If the description on their website didn't specify whether it's the I or II model then that wouldn't necessarily be a reason to return it (in their minds) but you also have the issue with the scuff mark that you could use as a reason. If the description did have a model number that's different than the model number on the box you received, that's certainly a valid reason for a return. I'd also call Blanco's customer service rather than waiting for an email response. Then you can have a live conversation about your concerns....See Morearialvetica
