i like this idea since you don't have to be criticized by people who have taken classes and doing this for a living. I know very little about how the cameras work, but playing with it, i sometimes get pretty lucky and would love to share that and see others lucky and wonderful shots as well!

Mary, I am NOT a photographer as you'll see should I post. :-) However, my husband and I are avid hikers who enjoy photographing what we see along the trails. We would enjoy our photos no matter what anyone said about them just because of our love and passion for hiking. I have tried joining sites where they did critique photos but they always end up being the kind of situation where "I'll like your photo if you like mine" - I don't want that - I WANT honest opinions. I want first impressions - good or bad. I thank you so much for responding. Perhaps we can get something started if we can get others to respond and participate?

Fall Color · More Info

Well im no pro either and have no idea of the inticritz of how the camera works but like i said, put the photos up that u think came out pretty good and im sure like many of us we just get lucky and get some shots that almost r as good as some of the pros, give it a shot. K n D that is an absolutly gorgeous pic of the fall colors!

Common stormie, post a few. I would love to see what u and hubby r seeing while out there hiking. Its almost being right there with u on youre hikes! And i love hiking and nature also

Where did u take that fall picture at k nd? Were you traveling or is this fall views from youre area?

Ok friends, here is a pic taken by by husband Richard while hiking our very favorite local trail. By the way, what struck me first about your photos were: K&D, you seemed to have captured the brilliance of the fall colors in those trees. And Mary, the color of the water as the backdrop for the seal reminds me that God himself is an artist, knowing about such things as color coordination. I love the nostril close-up - movement without a blur - great job!

Mary, I also agree that it's not about the quality of our photos but sharing a love for the experiences in our lives. For me, hiking with my husband and enjoying nature together is the experience I value and I hope that joy is reflected in our photos. And if my new found friends in this forum get pleasure from them, then that's all that matters. Personally, I know I'm biased but I feel that my Richard is great at photography - he just doesn't know it, so I especially like sharing his work. :-) But I'll post some of mine too.

Morton Arbotetum in Lisle IL is a bit over an hour from my house so not too far Tons of photo iOS there for sure. The fall color is a bit enhanced through Photoshop but pretty close to real. This is nice exchanging photos Make it a great day !

very pretty, I love it, as it gives a sense of vasnesses to where you are, ! He has a good eye for getting nice shots! It doesn't take a pro to do that ,just a good view through you're lens until you're happy with it! This was a river view pic i took while in canada

Oh Mary, we LOVE and have hiked the Canadian Rockies so this shot really brings back memories. You've definitely captured the fog here. I can almost feel it. Is this in the mountains or more in the eastern section?

thanks stormie. most all my family sin canada so I've gone around a bit, I'm planning a one month trip this june and i have an aunt that wants to invite me to kayak with the beluga whales so i hope we get a chance to see some
