Kitchen faucet recommendations, please!
Comments (24)I have the Grohe Ladylux3 pullout (model 33893) and I like it. It definitely doesn't feel cheap: the pullout works well and locks back into place when you reinsert, the switch from spray to stream is great, then single-handle faucet control works like a dream, and the faucet is really pretty. The only drawback: it is very tall, and as others have said it does splash if you put your hands in the stream near the faucet head. This is probably just something to get used to rather than an actual problem, though, and the faucet itself is great. I got it on ebay from Home & Stone and that was good -- shipped quickly, in perfect condition, and was about $100 cheaper than anywhere else. Good luck with the decision!...See Morecan you recommend your kitchen sink and faucet
Comments (26)Just because some people get water spots is no reason to assume you will! It depends on your local water supply, pretty much. Get a stainless mixing bowl, splatter it, let it dry, and see how it works. Feel the faucets on display, preferably where they're hooked up. If they aren't hooked up and they feel floopy, check underneath--many displays don't bother putting the weights on the hoses which leads to terrible performance. Is there anything you like or hate about your faucet and sink now? Go off that. If you bust your coffee maker's carafe monthly, I recommend stainless (or copper) no matter how splotchy it gets. If you like a traditional no-frills faucet, by the way, do look at Chicago Faucets. Those will be running long after KWC is buried in futuristic rubble....See Moremodern/contemporary kitchen faucet recommendation
Comments (15)Be aware with the Grohe Minta (and this is why I didn't get it) that once you turn on the spray, you have to turn the water off for it to go back to stream. That would be very annoying to me (and was, for the month we were living with friends who had one) so we rejected it. We got the Hansgrohe Citterio M, which is a similar style but you can toggle between stream and spray (it's not installed yet). Also, for that same look, but at a slightly more modest price, look at the Delta Trinsic (joaniepoanie has it, and likes it)....See MoreKitchen faucet recommendations
Comments (2)Be very comfortable with their country of origin. Especially for the faucet. Those break much more easily than do a stainless sink. However, the sink is married for life to your counters, so think about that as well. Starcraft Builders Faucet Review of Kraus...See Moredaisychain Zn3b
