I was in Wally world today and bought some seed potatoes out of the garden section, I was amazed at the prices, they were only $2.50 per package, so I bought 4 packs, 2 Yukon gold, 1 red potato, and 1 Russett potato. They were also selling bare root strawberry plants, 10 for $2.50, but I was afraid that if I bought them today there is a good chance we would get another cold spell in Georgia, so hopefully they will still have them in stock around the end of March. I am so excited about this garden, I ordered my compost/soil blend and I have a dump truck full (15 cubic yards) coming in the next few days. I did the math and it was more cost-effective for me to purchase my soil this way. I am just trying to prepare myself for success as much as I can, I know I will have setbacks, but I am prepared to learn from my mistakes.
