Krossa Regal - 2014 and another half from 2015

Blue Mouse Ears - inexcusable that out of a total of 37 eyes, that this picture is the most decent one I have besides another in bloom...shame, Jo!

This is Big Daddy...with Frances Williams behind it.

First Frost - with heavy frost damage to one particular leaf ... almost like having a pimple on one's face at the age of 40, lol!

    Flemish Sky, a favourite blue

Blue Angel.... early in May and just before going all blue

Amazing how blue it is early on

This is Arctic Blast and keeps most of its blue throughout but it is a different blue

    Hadspen Blue, another fave!

    Northern Exposure

Halcyon (in my garden) with frost damage in 2015. Yes,, I had covered all my hostas up but the frost was brutal that night! This is one of the blue sports from June hosta which gets deeper blue. I decided to call it Halcyon, lol.

Sagae - it maintains some blue all season even though it gets good sun exposure

Here to round out my blues are Rhino Hide...

Mourning Dove...difficult to keep the leaves spotless on this one but definitely worth the effort

and last, but not least Dream Queen

I almost forgot a new one in 2015, Deane's Dream. It is a turquoise blue in this photo on some leaves, others more blue. Can't wait to see what it will look like this season - the Google photos are all stunning of DD.

Who would have thought, having the blues could be uplifting?

Josephine your Hadspen Blue is beautiful. Does it get a lot of sun? Mine always looks dirty from the water it collects and underneath a tree. I may have to move it

Thank you, briantanyaquinn. I love mine so much I moved it last year so I can see it better when I look at the garden. Be forewarned.....it's a s-l-o-w grower but so worth it.

Old Dirt, you are so great at capturing your babies' BLUE.

Jerry, thank you...I appreciate that especially since I make a bit of effort with Hadspen Blue. I have it easy in terms of HB being in a pot. It is easy to move and I tip it when I find water pooling on the leaves, lol. It is under a dogwood tree, close to trunk so it gets some protection from rain onslaught. It gets predominantly morning dappled light with some direct sun earlier on.

Yours looks great! I think my photo was taken earlier in the season compared to yours...which is why I am so impressed with your colour and state of leaves!

Jerry, your pictures are spectacular! Last two shots had me stop and stare at length! 2015 looked like an excellent year for your hostas.

Here's some pictures of my first bed specifically built for hostas, known alternatively as the Blue Bed or the Hosta Leaf Bed.

From the back of the bed looking forward:

Blueberry Muffins, Blue Jay, Blue Ivory flanked by June and Touch of Class with the triplets Pewterware, Bulletproof, and Silver Bay.

First Frost and Love Pat live on the shady side of the bed.

Tar Heel Blue found a foothold on the sunnier side of the bed.

I took pictures last year of lots of blues and never marked down any name so your guess is probably correct and I do have many. The month of May seems to show the finest of colors. These are all from 2016

Sunnywood , I would love to edit with names but McTavish could do a better job at this then me. I got far too many hosta at the same time and some of the tags got lost and all snow covered grounds now. Myrle knows where each and every one of my plants are and only a few she didn't know where they are either. Sorry. I got to the point of just loving what they look like and not actually the names now . I just have no more room or energy to start new beds. Never say never though ha ha
