Honda or Snapper?
Comments (3)No, new isn't a necessity, but used Snappers are few and far between - at least for what I've seen. I'd love to have one. I currently have a 4 year old commercial Honda mower that in my opinion doesn't cut well. I feel it leaves far too many single uncut blades of grass behind. You actually see more the day after mowing. It looks as if they are being blown over instead of drawn up into the blades. I've tried different wheel heights, a gator type blade by Oregon with a spacer provided by Honda, and even using only the lower vac blade without the upper blade - all with the same results. I'm stumped, and constantly reminded of the poor cut quality along with how much I paid for it. My 16 year old Honda that my inlaws are using leaves a perfect cut behind, so I'm looking to sell or trade in this one. Honda denies any problems....See MoreNeed top loader recommendations
Comments (4)I would buy the same high capacity top loader I already own -- Maytag Bravos. It meets every laundry need I have, and does it all extremely well. I can use the internal water heater on almost every cycle, not just two -- and not just for true hot water, but also for true warm water. Its huge capacity has allowed me to cut down wash loads from 7-10+ each week to 3-5. I love being able to wash queen- and king-size comforters, sleeping bags, and pillows with ease. Its high spin speed wrings so much water out of laundry, it dries in much less time than it used to -- at least half the time, if not less. And much, much more. There's not a thing about this washer which I don't like. :)...See Morepurchasing a new HVAC
Comments (3)"WEATHER SUNNY AND MILD DOES GET HOT SOMETIMES, WINTER'S ARE MILD (55 IS COLD." ================== Why do they appear to be way, way, oversizing everything? U don't have to spend that amount of money to get the same cooling & heating plus comparable equipment. The quality of the install & the proper sizing of the duct system & airflow is critical to operating efficiency & BTUH Output! There is only about 2000-sq.ft on each floor level. I doubt that U need 4-Ton on each floor! Have a manual J heat-gain Heat-loss done; it's done for each room & for each separate floor. Either before or after the load-calc, do everything possible to reduce the heat-gain & loss. Get a quality company bid handling Goodman equipment. Remember the Quality of the install & setup is by far the most important factor, NOT the make or the price of the equipment! - udarrell Here is a link that might be useful: Quality Installations & Proper Setup...See MoreWhich brand of LVT would you buy & which would you stay away from?
Comments (14)As I said in my original post, our Mannington Adura is glue-down. The flooring company we used refuses to do a click-lock on LVP installs. Period. If a customer insists upon click-lock they will sell them the flooring materials but will not do the install. They said they have had too many complaints with click lock installs and it just was not worth the trouble for them. If you read install instructions for almost any flooring, having a level floor is critical. All of the mfgs specify their tolerances for uneven subflooring and they're mostly all very tight (narrow) ranges. I think a lot of DIYers forget or don't pay much attention to that. We had to, our flooring joists are wildly uneven and no free-floating floor would have worked....See Moresprtphntc7a
