Tame Black Berries

berk(6 MO)

We have 2 different types of thorn less tame blackberries. Right now I can't remember the names. The 2nd. year the first once produced so many berries it was unreal, that was maybe 4 yrs. ago. Now last year I maybe got 10 qallons. My husband keeps them pruned and they are very well taken care of, my questions is, do tame berries just stop producing after a few years and need to be taken out and new ones replanted?
