Evergreen small tree with tiny round leaves and tiny green berries

I have done a lot of Googling with different key words to no avail, so any help is greatly appreciated.

Tree is in Auckland, New Zealand. It is a small evergreen tree no taller than 2m. Leaves are tiny, round, glossy, with smooth edge, no larger than 10mm across. Leaves are densely packed on branches, with an interesting pattern (3rd photo). Currently in the summer, I see small green berries (no larger than 5mm across; 2nd photo) among and beneath the leaves. I have not detected any flowers or fragrance in the past year. I do not think this tree is overly common locally.

On Google, the closest I get is "Azara microphylla", but the leaf pattern on my tree is rather different, and I have not observed any flowers or fragrance in the past year.

(In 1st photo above, yellow flowers on right edge belongs to another tree.)
