There is a ton to tell, a ton more that I won't share.
The condensed version. Life for the most part is good, great even. We are down to one at home. Kamren is 6'2" and still growing, a sophomore in high school. (I know where does the time go!)
Kellan is an advanced Freshman at WSU. Between his braininess and college credit classes in high school, he's a full semester ahead of a typical college freshman.
In October 2014, I finally obtained my dream job in our school district..I love going to work every day. As crazy as it can be, it's what keeps me smiling and grounded. (We have a saying in the office. "You just can't make this sh!t up!" Middle school lives are interesting.)
I was spending time in the Kitchens Forum, because we were planning a kitchen remodel on our house we bought two years ago come May. We still are planning but circumstances of a different type has taken that budget. So that is on hold, for who knows how long.
Some of you know we are grandparents. We now have two. Kian has an amazing little girl, who will be one on Valentine's Day. In November the Big Guys middle son and his wife had an adorable little boy. We've yet to meet the newest in person, but have had some wonderful time with our granddaughter.

Comments (7)Oh Nora, what a great surprise hearing from you!!! i agree things change and you must go on, i'm again on the blue side and have a doctor's appointment tomorrow, i just have no energy and just doing day to day things are a stuggle for me. i know just how you feel taking plastic off of your Mom's swing. Although different i went into our backyard garden, which is where we laid our Buddy to rest, how he loved to plow and sit in that garden with me!! i put a cement angle on top of grave and must have cried for a good 2 hours, i just never thought losing a pet would affect me so much and so hard. on a happier note, if you can call it that - lol we have no snow! it's actually 48 out right now so for us its hot out! Carley has only 39 days left of high school, and i have been busy sewing her grad gown, which is flowy and has alot of tule on the botton half, she saw the dress in a prom mag, and on e-bay and also in a wedding store window here, so wouldn't you believe that one of the pattern companies makes the dress too, so for 4.87 for the pattern at W---mart (yes we have them too!) and 2.99 for the tule at the Sal. army and 1.99 for the satin there as well i got off really well, it seems that almost all of girls went to duluth to get their dresses or are having them made, actually it's not cool to get a ready made dress this year. i'm doing lunch for Matthew this afternoon, he wants to come home so bad, but with having him stay over some weekends i do not see a change in him that i would like to see, the family he lives with thinks he's just great so again he just gets to lounge around and get waited on hand and foot, so when the change comes the door is open for him. Al had a mind heart attack last tuesday, to stubburn to go to the hospital he just took baby aspirin and nitro spray, he said that's all they can do for him at the hospital so why bother? - men!!! However, he has been outside 2 times this past week, so that is real good news! I miss my sweetheart desparately and love him more every day.I originally thought that I was dealt a raw deal by being widowed young (two days after my 63 birthday) but the more time goes on and the more widows I meet I think that it would have been harder to be widowed in later years when I would be retired, less capable and just hours on end at home alone. The key to healing is having a busy life wich forces you to come out of youself and go on living. In no way is this easy and greiving still takes a toll but, in my case, being younger has been a positive and I can see that now. I am living in Australia (originate from New Zealand) and work out in a remote area of the Northern Territory here in Australia amongst the local Aboriginal people. I work in a alcohol and other drug rehab program - teaching the clients life skills - cooking and art/crafts. My clients are used to eating kangaroo, guana, buffalo, crocodile, snake, and other bush animals - so we enjoy being creative within the diet they are used to. Just thought I would say hello and that even around the other side of the world there are people reading these forum comments and enjoying what you all have to say. I get alot of recipes which I try out on my clients on these forums - maybe I could share some of mine - don't know if kangaroo would be very accessable for you though!! lol. Comments (13)I came to visit today---can't stand to stay away very long-Ha! There has been posting, so I am glad of that! I have been very busy with the weeds, and trying to get my garden in shape. Been adding some of the things that have been in my storage buildings for a looong time. I put up 4x4s (4) and on each side I put up pallets. Left the middle open so I could I could hang some large bells. On one side of a pallets are metal (and other) butterflies. Some came from $ Tree and $ General, so are not expensive. On the other side of that pallet are sun faces and things that look like gears (spray painted in all colors). The pallet on the other side of the bells that are in the middle has watering cans (also $ Tree, etc) of all sizes. Unfortunately on the backside of that one I have hung NOTHING so far. On the ground under the pallets and bells, I have 3 large oval clay pots with plants. Sorry--you will just have to use your imagination to 'see' them since I can't post pictures. That has always been my problem on here...... My full sized hayrake is beginning to see the thunbergia vinegetting ready to grow up the wheels. My cast iron bathtub has plants that are coming along and my 17 foot boat also has a few plants. I have holes dug for 2 short 4x4s and a 2x4 for a shelf and a row of 5 mail boxes on top. they will hold my garden tools. also in that will be bunch of snails made of metal and other materials. It will be my 'snail mail' bed. Lots going on, but lots of weed pulling too! That type thing takes up entirely too much of my time. Just my 'garden' is 88 feet by 135 feet-room for lots of weeds.
