The tees that are 100% cotton, and well-worn are nicely absorbant and do well for cleaning, dusting and window washing. Unfortunately most common are the polycottons, and they don't absorb worth a darn -- as anyone who has worn such on a hot day can attest. Rob ~ carefully *cut the front off, into a square or circle or hexagon or whatever shape; cut the back to match. **Turn right sides together and stitch, leaving a 4" opening. Actually, I leave a 9" opening and attach velcro for a closure, but that's probably more work than needed. Turn rightside out and stuff with a foam shape, batting or old nylon stockings; blindstitch the opening closed. If you have an old throw pillow, this is one way to recycle it, just make the opening big enough so the old pillow can fit into the new covering. * To prevent crazy-stretching the material, use iron-on fabric facing on the backside, then cut. ** A step up and looking more professional is to attach welting along the seam line before stitching together. Place the fat side towards the picture and pin; stitch on the welting's seam line, then stitch the back piece on, again being sure to stitch in the same seam line. I've seen attractive pictures used as wall hangings. One was of a flower and the owner had put quilt batting between front and back, and then stitched the flowers' outlines making a quilted finish. Edged with tape, and hung from a rod.

(in letters that progressively get smaller) By the time you realize this tshirt really doesn't say anything it will be way to late to stop reading. And your crybaby excuse would be? You don't have to be crazy to work here. They will train you. The internet was down so I decide to come outside.

Wow, this is so interesting!! Nice to know I am not alone :) I have had holes in the front around the belly-button area for years, and it was driving me crazy!! I kept wondering where they were coming from, and I finally noticed that the shirts were getting the holes at exactly the level of my counters which have a rough-ish tile edging. I do a lot of dishes and cooking so I figured that must be it! My kids that do dishes also get these holes (and some of us are as skinny as a rail, some are not). I also get shredded fronts on my aprons, too, so I am pretty sure it is the counters rubbing that's causing this (for us anyway!). I only noticed them once we moved to this house almost 8 years ago. I tried using a tile sander to smooth down the counter edges and I don't know if it helped much, but I thought it was worth a shot. Oh, and out of curiosity, I checked my DH's t-shirts as well, (he never does dishes!) and he has a couple holes in some very old shirts, but overall his are in good shape. Weird. Anyway, no matter what is causing this I am relieved it's not just me! :D

I think it looks great and agree with Toolgranny, not that anyone ever stares at my chest, ( lol), but having the name large enough denotes who we are. Can this be color or black and white? Those scrappy folks might like the color, while the controlled quilters prefer the black & white...just sayin' Nice design K8!
