I saw those. I'm looking for the kind that have multiple hooks. I'm hoping someone else has seen them someplace or maybe knows another name for them. They have to exist.

I figured that likely it would be to hold something rather heavy.

In this area, some of the cookie bags have long double-wired closures glued across the top that one can bend over the folded-over top of the bag to keep it closed, so the cookies fresher.

When the bag is empty, I can rip off that rather stiff closure and hang it over the top of a, e.g. kitchen cupboard, door to hold some light things, (e.g. rubber bands, over which there some discussion here about storage methods, the other day).

Doubt whether they'd hold a jacket ... even one for a cat, unless it were hugely thin - and that "hugely" is for thickness of the jacket, not the cat, please.

They are all over, I have bought them at Walmart, big Lots, many nice ones at Tuesday Morning store. Bed bath and beyond has a good selection. I use several over the door hooks in the rv they serve lots of purposes. Pretty much any big store with a bath area has these in many configurations. Lowe's and home Depot have lots of them.

Also consider the command hooks for heavy items they are much more sturdy and definitely hold. I have some in the rv holding up a heavy wall clock and metal art pieces so they do work and come off with no damage. Many of the ones labeled for clothes hanging hold 7.5 lbs each. You can put them up at any convenient heights and now they come in metallics.

do you have a target close by? mine are pretty good sized..just make sure you get the "flat" over the door...heavy metal (white coated) and will hold a heavy coat...

Thanks all! I've seen them like in the picture above. The problem is they don't drop down far enough. My house has taller ceilings and taller doors. I'll just keep looking.

If worse comes to worst, AB ... maybe you'll have to get a stool on which to stand.

That's why the new metallic command hooks would be ideal you can put them at any convenient heights and they easily can hold the weight. They can be spaced how ever you desire. The most customizable option. And don't interfere with the closing of the door and no scratches from the hanger moving on the door, which is something I have run into with some over the door hangers.

How about a wreath hook? Would it be heavy enough?
