Display adapter stops and then recovers

I have had this problem for ages now and have download the newest intel driver but it still keeps going black and giving me the same message. This is what I have found out when I check on my computer so maybe it will help someone to tell me what to do to fix it. TY.. I have windows 7 on this also.

What is the make and model of the computer ?

Can you do this,

This program checks for any drivers which may have been causing your computer to crash....

Hope this is still active. I have my sprinkler system controller in my garage. I have valves for the front yard sprinklers and valves for the back. My controller will still turn on front yard sprinklers, but not the backyard. It usedan to wor fine. The connections seem tight at the controller. Don't see any loose connections by the valves though it is somewhat complex looking at there. The valves will turn on the sprinklers if turned manually. How can I check for loose connections versus wire shortages. Not sure if relevant, but we (gardener) did change front yard sprinkler stations prior to the backyard issue started. But I can't remember if the backyard sprinklers were working after that for a short period of time or not. Thanks for any help.

The butt, from this angle, doesn't appear to have much wear, looking at it from different angles would give more detail!! Most times, I use a regular jewelers eye loop but sometimes have to go to more power to get definition on some of the stampings. You want to trade for my nice clean shiny musket? Moonshadow...I love history and the Civil War is one I spend most time on. The artifacts are plentiful, new information of the era become known constantly as older collectors pass away and the stuff becomes available. Even as a kid, disregarding some of the various reasons for discontent at the time, I always thought it was the most senseless war, right here against our own people that could have been otherwise resolved. So bloody, so senseless yet so many innovations in militarism that are still used in some form even today. I have joined a few excursions from time to time searching farms and ravines in this area, looking for artifacts. There are caves in the area here that were used at various times during that war. Folks are always looking for caches but the problem being, many were booby trapped and are quite dangerous from explosions or other damaging action even today. I'd love to find something like that cannon I mentioned earlier. I do have quite a collection of bullets, swords, bayonets, belt buckles and other medallions found on a friends farm nearby. A lot of soldiers personal items have been found also. Just like this musket fori has here, one can sit for a time and just wonder who had it, what their daily life might have been like and if they ever made it home. It sure gets the imagination going. And to think, towns people would find a vantage point and gather and watch a battle, with picnic lunches and all. Just as TEXASREDHEAD, I love occasionally shooting the ones that I have that work. Just wondering how someone could carry that thing all day along with all their other gear and then the noise, the kick and the reloading in a stressful situation and still hit something (with the earlier guns). It's a thrill.

Thanks for the advice. I cut off a few of the children and planted them in pots, i think ill cut off a few more and put them in cups of water as suggested. I removed some dead shoots but I should probably remove more. Somehow I missed the advice to not mist them so as to prevent the spread of disease, i've been doing that but ill stop. I hope I am giving it the correct water and light conditions. I am going to put up sheer drapes on the window because I think the lowered shades provide too little light and open shades provide too much direct sun. The plant is looking pretty poor right now, a lot worse than the last photo but it still has some healthy looking shoots. Ill take some more photos tonight. BTW the reason I care so much about this particular plant (to give it its own setup in the bathroom and all the attention) is that it's kind of symbolic. I have been killing plants all my life so have not bought any for a long time; just recently deciding to try again. This plant is one of the 3 I bought, so it living or dying will represent if I have turned my act around and can realistically have plants thriving in my home.

You are soo right pamghatten!! Two daughters home from college made a "snap chat" story --posting a pic of 'ALL' the nativities they found in our home. They got to 50. They missed two that we know of. LOL!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!! I have always coveted the sets that have many many different shepherds, animals, etc. The Fontanini line is great for that!! Maybe if I had such a "complete" set one would be enough!!

Have you used command prompt and run sfc/scannow ?

Open the Control Panel. Choose System & Security. Then System, then Device Manager.

Choose Display Adapter. Right click and choose Uninstall device.

Restart. After restarting, the computer will reload the current driver and ask you to restart. Restart it. That should fix it.

Won't the screen go blank if the display driver is uninstalled?

No. It will shrink to half size using the Windows driver. After reboot, it will reset and return to normal.

In Device Manager can you choose Display Adapter, the driver that is causing the issue, and then update driver (choosing to search automatically)? I did this, and it seems to have resolved the 'Display adapter driver stopped working and has recovered' issue. I haven't had the error popup since and it's been about a week, fingers crossed.

OK, I did uninstall the display driver and restarted it, then ran my driver update and so far my screen hasn't went black, it has been about a week now. My screen does seem to freeze up an awful lot, mainly on facebook, so I am thinking it is a problem on it and maybe not my computer. TY for the help and I sure hope my problem is fixed now.
