I'm so proud of my daughter!

Yesterday my youngest (she's a junior) got a soccer scholarship offer at Emporia University here in Kansas. She verbally accepted and I am so excited to see her soccer continue into college. Emporia is only 1.5 hours away from us so it will be an easy drive for her and for us to watch her play. It is also about an 1-1.5 hours from my other daughter who is at KU. My other daughter just got a letter yesterday for an interview into nursing school. The letter came here so I was pretty proud to read that letter to her.

Good job karma! I'm proud of you too! Isn't it funny how gardening gives you little "boosts" every now and then? Just when you think nothing's ever going to grow the way you want or bloom when you want...something great happens! GGG -- Me too. I collected grounds all year last year, and they really heated up my compost pile! But, I learned my lesson about the coffee filters. I was told they'd break down easily too, but they don't seem to in my pile. I'm not going to use them this year. I guess if I cut them all up into little pieces they might break down better, but not sure I have the time. We drink a LOT of coffee! LOL

Sounds like a great summer! The ratatouille looks great; I'm impressed with her choice of meals to prepare. I'm sure that's not first on many teenagers' lists. How quickly they grow up, huh? I just put my daughter on the bus for her first day of Kindergarten [sobbing with you] and I'm sure it'll seem like no time at all that she's off doing her own thing for the summer break. I hope she keeps cooking and snapping pictures, and that you keep posting them. If she really gets into cooking it'll be fun to watch the progression.

Thanks for looking, and for all of the nice comments! Luke's team is quite incredible. The coaches are amazing. Every child plays every game, there is no showboating allowed. Many youth sports coaches could learn a thing or two from them. The result? They're undefeated! Trust me, they aren't the most talented kids in the league, either. Eric is doing fine with his casts. Thanks everyone! My oldest daughter got some more good news today. She had missed the dead line of a nursing school she really wanted to go to due to having to take a nursing test (TEAS) before applying to the school. I must say it is too bad that every school has different requirements to apply. They called her today and said she could still apply and there is a TEAS test next Thursday. This is for St. Luke's in Kansas City so still close to us and to where my younger daughter is going.
