That's ok, Nick. It was a shot in the dark and was utterly surprised when I got a hit. lol. I will post some on the group exchange and see what I can come up with. I had at least a hundred different den species until a family member thought they'd help me "clean up" and trashed all those that were resting for the winter and then some. I can't justify spending a lot of money to rebuild my collection... But thanks anyway! :-)

I have a no-name growing two keikis. The cane was definitely hollow and dead. Surprised me. The cane was dried up and laying on the ground. Would not have found it if the dog didn't pull it out. Ran around with it in his mouth. Dry as a bone! Then I noticed these on the end. The dog saved them... Interestingly, the rest of the plant is very healthy. My guess is this either rotted off or was snapped off (probably by the cat). Whatever, I'll pot them and give them away. Jane

There is a link to an old thread below. The plant needs cool nights and sunny days during winter. Just like today. Minimum 7C Maximum 20C and sunny most of the day. It is dead easy to grow, but too much warmth at the wrong time of year will result in growth and no flowers. Culture in Northern Parts of USA is best done by obtaining a copy of notes prepared by Wilford Neptune and following the instructions. My phrags/paphs aren't started yet, they usually spike in October. Carol, if you divide that Silver Eagle, perhaps You'd be interested in a trade. I have a couple that will need to be divided. Steve, littlem mentioned a phrag and I saw mention of a paph too. One of my favs, B. Little Stars is finally opening some of it's spikes. I wish I could get this plant to bloom out its spikes all at one time, it would be fabulous. It's a small plant and started last month opening the first of five spikes. It does make it's bloom season long, so that's pleasing. Apart from that one, I only have a few dends just starting, a couple phals still in bloom and a new one starting to bloom. Several more setting spikes. A fav catt Siam Jade is budding, numerous others in sheath but not showing buds yet....things are slooooow!
