Thank you both. The E. pearl Von nurnberg with the orange coleus nearby is one of my favorites as well. Normally the coleus get pretty leggy since I'm too lazy/apathetic to bother trimming, but this one is C. Orange Compacta, and it as stayed really full.

Wow, its been almost 2 years since I originally posted..( I am this thread creator, my name was Mtn-Grl) .My periods are still the same, one month its just 2-3 days, very light, just spotting, and then after 2 weeks I get the heavy one that lasts 14-20 days. Very unconvienient, I am soaking through very fast. So I got my insurance back, went to the doctor. He sent me to the specialist. Checked for fibroids, turns out, they're too small to operate, the doctor didn't think its necessary to remove them. He found something else. The very thick layer of my inner uterus lining. He said its abnormal and in few weeks I'll be going to the surgical center, so they can get samples of my uterus. It freaked me out. Especially after my doctor said he did not like it. And, although this is the different doctor, he says I am not in peri stage yet. I really don't get it. I have all the symptoms. Plus even more now - my skin itches all the time. ( I moisturize it and take good care of my skin) but it itches every now and then. All over my body, my shoulders, my calves, my back etc. And the panic attacks, they got worse, too. I am at work, talking to the customer, smiling and joking, friendly conversation and suddenly BAM, I feel tingling in my face and this weird feeling in my head like I am disconnected from the world around me. So I rub my forehead in embarrassment ( I have a feeling that people could see my fear ) drink a lot of water ( which I have with me at all times, it helps) and try to convince myself "Its just a stupid panic attack" Sometimes it goes away, sometimes it lasts longer. I am terrified of passing out and losing consciousness , it happened to me before - for no reason at all. SO I am always scared it will happen again. Sometimes I cannot take a deep breath, my stomach hurts and I have to run to the bathroom. And everything seems to be all right, my blood sugar, my blood pressure and heart rate. I would be really happy to know that I am entering perimenopause, then I could blame everything on it but the doctors say that's not it. Well, lets see what they say after they take my uterus samples. For now I just have to live with it. Trying to think positive :)

Hi linnea, It's a little disconcerting to hear that your gyne doc didn't have much to say to you. She should have told you that when our progesterone starts getting low, our uterine linings keep building up, which leads to more bleeding. Sometimes they give women progesterone pills to help. That's how my periods started going when I was in my late 40's. I refused the progesterone, and my bleeding got out of control. I ended up losing alot of blood and needing a D&C, and was put on hormones for awhile, to keep from bleeding again. It seems like your doc might want to do an endometrial biopsy or a transvaginal ultrasound, so she can understand why you're bleeding. Lots of women just put up with this bleeding during perimenopause. In some women, it just works itself out. For me, I think I would have bled to death. The biopsy of my lining showed that I had cells growing in a weird fashion.....which caused my bleeding. Plus, sometimes, the lining can actually get so thin that it bleeds constantly... But the cause of the bleeding needs to be determined. Are you getting tired easily from the blood loss? If not, I'd say give it a few more months, but don't overlook it too long. Once your hemoglobin gets low, it takes awhile to build it back up. Is there another gyne you could see?? Did she say anything at all about your heavy bleeding?

Your dad's friend did he call the breeder to let them know he was getting rid of Sheba? Responsible breeders make you sign a contract when you purchase a puppy. That puppy must go back to the breeder if you need to find them a new home. They don't want their puppies being dumped off in shelters. Why would your parents even think about breeding Sheba, she is just a puppy. So many pups in shelters being PTS everyday, its so sad. I'm not a breeder but I love dobermans. They have several health problems, DCM cardio is their number one killer. Responsible breeders show their dobermans, put titles on them. Health test their dogs and study pedigrees before breeding. Do you know where Sheba came from, how long did the other dogs live, what health problems did they have, and the list goes on and on, they just don't put two dogs together just to have puppies, please spay her and just love her. I had to laugh when you talked about her leaning on you. Dobermans love to be with you all the time. They follow you from room to room and when you turn around you usually bump into them. They do need a lot of exercise or they drive you nuts. I've always had one at a time but a few months ago we got a female. They two of them play all day and its a lot of fun just watching them. I take them out for a couple of hours, no running just long walks and when we get back I don't see them for a couple of hours. Females mature a lot faster than males. I've noticed that my males slow down when they're two years old, but always a puppy at heart. Good luck with your girl.
