3' filler rev-a-shelf?
Comments (7)You need to be creative in getting it to match. You buy a filler piece from your cabinet manufacturer, something like a toe kick piece, or a cabinet door the length of your uppers, and cut it down to fill the size you need. In your case it would probably be 3 inches wide, but it might be more depending upon how you insert the rev-a-shelf. You then screw it onto the end of the rev-a-shelf, and use edging to cover the cuts. It's easier for some door styles than others--for example, my cabinets will be Shaker style (Ikea Adel), and the raised flat parts of the doors are exactly 3 inches wide, so I am going to just cut off one of those, so it's easy with my style. With more engraved door styles, you'll need to think about more of a design that matches. Carla in Sac...See MoreRev-a-shelf-ers stand up!
Comments (13)Fun2cook I didn't realize you had questions about my rev-a-shelf. Sorry for the delay in responding - I hope this is still helpful : ) "What are the dimensions of the 2 bins?" Both are 13.5" tall and 8.75" wide. The smaller one is 5.75" deep and the larger one is 12" deep. "How wide is your pull out?" It's 15" wide. "It seems like there is a lot of wasted vertical space. Is there any reason that the bins aren't taller?" The rev-a-shelf bins for this pull out didn't come taller. I could have had a drawer above the pull out so as not to have any wasted space. But to be honest, the extra room above makes it easier to remove the larger bin. When the pull out is pulled out all the way, the smaller bin clears the cabinet . . . but the larger bin does not. That extra height makes it much easier to lift it up and out. Don't forget, it has to be lifted up from it's frame as high as it is tall (13.5") "Do they have lids to contain odors?" These particular bins do not have individual lids. But when the bins are slid in, there is a "lid" that covers them both. Here is a photo to show you what I mean. Also, the photo shows that there is room for a shelf inside the cabinet above the bins. The shelf doesn't make it hard to pull the larger bin up and out like a drawer would....See MoreSuper Susan...Rev-A-Shelf of Omega?
Comments (1)I can't help with those specific items, but I just got a Rev-a-Shelf 3" filler pull out spice rack and I can tell you it's HEAVY. It's not flimsy in any way. It's not installed yet, but I was worried about it being flimsy and it's not. It seems very sturdy....See MorePlease advise on some Rev a Shelf item width sizes
Comments (5)I just bought the tip outs by rev a shelf (in white though). I haven't installed them, but it looks like they need very minimal clearance. I have a 36" sink base and I got 2 14" trays. The hinges seem less than .5" so I would assume that you need maximum 1" clearance overall. I will confirm with you after I install them - hopefully sometime this week....See MoreUser
