If you don't already know about BookBub . . .

I'm guessing many of you do know
about BookBub, because we have a lot of ebook fans here. I didn't used to pay
much attention to offers of free and low-cost ebooks because a) I still like
"real" books, and b) most of the offers I used to see involved books
I wasn't interested in. But then BookBub came along.

https://www.bookbub.com

Every
day I get an email telling me what ebooks are on sale that day from Amazon and
Google (because I have a Kindle and a Nexus (Google) tablet). The list is
limited to genres I've specified, and you can change your favorite genres as
often as you like.

The
only downside is that .99 and $1.99 can add up if you get carried away--as I
did in the first two weeks. :-)

I've
also used the list to buy used copies of regular books, which I usually prefer
to read at bedtime. It has introduced me to some authors and books I was
unaware of, with excellent results.

Today
I ordered Pat Conroy's The Water is Wide for $1.99. He was a favorite of mine
years ago. I remember wanting to read that book, but never got around to it.
Now I will.
