Minimum amount of sunlight for small fruit trees

I am planning to put in a small orchard on the side of my house using semi-dwarf types only. I am planting 4 different types of each fruit for successive ripening (apples, pears, apricots, peaches, cherries) and plan to keep them small via pruning as recommended by Dave Wilson (http://www.davewilson.com/home-gardens/backyard-orchard-culture). Because the only space I have is in between my house and the next house, the trees get exactly six hours of direct sunlight each day during the spring and summer months. I know six hours is typically the minimum for fruit, so I'm wondering if this amount will work for trees that are pruned to remain small. In other words, does small size allow for less overall sunlight?
I don't want to plant them and then come to find in 2-3 years that I'm not going to get good fruit output.
